The Workshop provides an up-to-date information and a practical approach to manage prosthetic joint infection. It covers prevention, diagnosis and combined (medical and surgical) treatment, with particular emphasis on the interdisciplinary approach and efficient modern concepts.

The course is a mix of lectures by expert scientists in the domain, interactive case discussion and practical (hands-on) workshops.

Target

Audience:

Clinicians and life-science researchers with advanced knowledge and interest in implant-associated infections of the following specialties (or enrolled in an educational program):

  • Orthopedic and trauma surgeons daily dealing with implants
  • Internal medicine, (micro)biology, infectious diseases or related fields dealing with biofilms and antibiotics
  • Pharmacy, pharmacology or related fields dealing with pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics
  • Other specialists, researchers and students with interest in implant-associated infections. Ideally a complementary team from individual institution should attend the same workshop, i.e. orthopedic/trauma surgeon and microbiologist/infectious diseases specialist.

Course Fees:

250 AU$. Early bird registration (at least 30 days before the course): 200 AU$.

Course fee is not subject to taxation according to § 4 Nr. 22a German tax Act, UStG. 

Course fee covers workshop, Pocket Guide on PJI (available in English and German), workshop materials on the web portal, mobile app, handbook Infections of the Muscolosceletal System (available in English and German), certificate, coffee breaks and lunches at the workshop.

Dinner will be included in course fee.

Flight and hotel accommodation are not included.

Refund Policy:

Confirmed participants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the entire fee unless organizer is notified in advance.
