PRO-IMPLANT Foundation is organizing the first Workshop on Infections after Fracture Fixation on January 12, 2018 in Berlin.
The participant number is limited to 40-50. Participants are encouraged to actively participate by presenting own complex or challenging cases (approx. 5 slides).
The goal: To review, update and advance the theoretical and practical knowledge in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of bone and implant-associated infections. At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to generate a rational and efficient management plan based on modern principles.
The challenge: Infections after fracture fixation cause considerable morbidity and healthcare costs. An efficient management concept can significantly improve the outcome and life quality of patients.
The solution: The key to success is an interdisciplinary approach of various medical specialties integrating the latest evidence, clinical experience and innovation in the diagnosis, surgical techniques, antibiotic therapy and local bone and soft tissue management.
